About

What is The Sarah Challenge?  Are you going to challenge other Sarahs in combat to the death?

No, I am not going to challenge other Sarahs in combat, hand to hand or otherwise. Sarahs are of incomparable awesomeness, particularly of the “Sarah with an H” variety, and should not be pitted against one another.

Simply, the Sarah Challenge is a way for me, Sarah, to challenge myself and my lifestyle, but also to share my creativity and focus. I’ll blog about the challenges I set for myself but also about my interests.

Can you tell me a bit about yourself?

I’m a thirty-something American living in London who is married and has a brand new puppy, one mischievous ginger cat, and four backyard chickens.  During the day, I work in finance and working on my thesis for my Masters degree; I can otherwise be found running or working on something creative.

Why is The Sarah Challenge important to you?

I have completed so much in my life, but I feel like I have something so much more to offer the world through my creativity, which I’ve de-prioritised – or worse yet, ignored – throughout my formative years.  The Sarah Challenge provides an outlet for me to share my creativity, experiences, and passions with the internet.

Why are you doing The Sarah Challenge now?

Because I’ve said “tomorrow” too many days in a row.

What challenges are you pursuing?

I’ve created a page dedicated to the challenges.

How many and which marathons have you run?

I’ve run fourteen marathons, including five World Majors, and currently training for 2020 Chicago Marathon.  I’ve also completed one sprint triathlon and twenty+ half marathons.

  1. Chicago Marathon x5
  2. Berlin Marathon
  3. Walt Disney World Marathon x5 (including 2 Goofy Challenges)
  4. London Marathon
  5. New York Marathon
  6. Tokyo Marathon

For myself.
